Hi! I've read that Lake Buena Vista has a low crime rate and has no poverty. It does however cost a lot to live there. Does anyone know of any areas in the city where someone could buy acerage that is cost efficient.

Lake Buena Vista is pretty much Disney and some of the surrounding area, however in the 2000 census there were 16 people living there, not exactly a city or a place to live as it's Disney, hotels, restaurants and shopping. Some of the surrounding areas that are nice and expensive would be places like Windermere and Celebration, but it's also close to other areas like Kissimmee which is cheaper and not as nice and full of crime and poverty.

The backside of Disney is an area for investing in vacant land. What are your thoughts on cost effectiveness and zoning usage?

The 32836 area code is nice and has some nice neighborhoods. Like others have mentioned, the town Lake Buena Vista is where Disney World is located so the land is going to be very expensive and zoned primarily for retail/restaurant and hotel business. The open land in the area is available heading towards Widnermere and Winter Garden and is also probably pretty expensive as these are other desirable areas in town.

This has got to be the craziest thread, yet.

You can't buy anything in Lake Buena Vista. It is owned by Disney. In fact it was created by Disney. The state of Florida has no control over Lake Buena Vista, except for some roads. Disney was brilliant and struck a deal with the state more than 40 years ago. The only people that live there are employees, and there are very few of them.

If you are talking of investing, it will be out of the Lake Buena Vista boundaries. That land is not for sale.

Lake Buena Vista has a population of 16... so yes, there is low crime and no poverty. Lake Buena Vista does have a mayor... but it's mostly known for being home to Walt Disney Resorts. There is nothing to buy, no land. The 16 people that live in Lake Buena Vista are employees of Disney. So unless you want to work for Disney, you're not going to live in Lake Buena Vista. Period. Sorry.

No Mr. Florida, Lake Buena Vista is Disney World. Believe me... I lived in Orlando. Lake Buena Vista is nothing more than Disney World. I would seriously consider checking your facts before posting. As hiknapster said, and I completely agree with her, this is a pointless thread. If you do some research, you'll see that Lake Buena Vista is populated by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and the rest of them. That's it!

It's not hard to do a little research and get a lot of info.

Lake Buena Vista, Florida - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One more pointless FL thread as stated above.
