Are there any Master Planned Communities in the Central Florida (Orlando) area? Other than Celebration, which is WAY out of our price range.

Hunters Creek is one that I know of. Expensive but not as expensive as Celebration. Close to 417 & other major highways so it makes commute very easy from this location.
The zip code for this community is 32837 if you need to do a search for homes for sale in the community. Good luck!!! Last edited by KathiT; 07-23-2006 at 02:50 PM. |

Hi,
There are two planned communities for the Charlotte County area. One is Murdock Village and the other is Babcock Ranch. Murdock will probably be the first to break ground later this year. It is a planned community on 1100 acres in Northern Charlotte County. Babcock Ranch is going to be a planned community of 50,000 people on 19,000 acres in SE Charlotte County. It probaby won't break ground for at least another 12-18 months. These communities are both convenient to Interstate 75 and are located between Sarasota and Ft. Myers. If Celebration isn't in his price range, Weston sure as heck won't be. |

These places have fees: home owners' association and often plenty more. They also have tons of rules. I have a stupid question: why do want to live there? Have you ever lived like that before? Do you think being closed off will really curb crime? Hey, if that is what you are used to or want...... I know some people love the rules and don't mind the fees...... Well lots of luck getting someplace you can afford.
