My wife, myself and my severly disabled adult step-son are looking to retire to an area in Florida with good retirement condos/condo communities where good health care services are readily accessible.

Have you ever thought about the Northwest Florida panhandle -- more specifically the Scenic 30A and the Beaches of South Walton? We do have golfing opportunities but that's not all we have.
In between the Scenic 30A & Destin, you will find the
Sacred Heart on the Emerald Coast hospital. Here is a quote from their website page:"Nine out of 10 patients at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast say they would "definitely recommend" the hospital to others, according to the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey that captures the patients’ perception of the care they received. " You will also have Bay Medical in Panama City (about 1 1/2 hours east) and you have Pensacola's medical facilities about 2 hours west. Plus you are about 5 hours north from Gainesville, Florida where you have an abundance of medical assistance.

My neighbourhood might be worth looking at. Most of the townhouse condos are 2/3 story, but there are some flats, some on the main floor, with zero stairs, if that is an issue. Otherwise there are many single family homes of one story construction to choose from at various prices, starting in the low 200s, and you can get what looks like a palace to me for 450k with a private pool.
