Grew up here in Florida never had allergies as a kid, but now have adult allergies. When you move to a new place, the allergies you were having up north may not be here in Florida that is why your kids don't have issues when they move to a new place. My allergist said that people that had allergies in other places will be fine for a while in their new place, but eventually will develop new allergies in the new city they moved to. Sniffling today as I type.

My husband, a Chicago boy, never had allergies until he moved to Colorado, where he was often miserable all the years he lived there.
He hasn't had any allergies at all in northern Florida.
You just never know, I guess.

Default RE: Allergies

Thanks everyone for your responces! I'm sorry to hear that many of you are also plauged with these allergies. It didn't cross my my mind that I may have developed different ones here then I had back home. Hopefully they go away, this is such a nice little town, I'd hate to leave it.

PS- To those that inquired, I lived in Wildwood NJ....it was great but got a too pricey.

My mother's place is on East Glenwood between Atlantic and Pacific! I can't believe how many condos there are now.
