bamboosmom will become famous soon enough
Hey lulu,
I wish it would go back to like it was when my mom was a kid. The 1940's, 1950's, etc. Everybody sat outside and talked and the kids all talked and laughed with each other, rode bikes, rollerskated, jumped rope...had dinner with the whole family. Nobody seems to care about those things anymore. People need to wake up and realize that life is too short to be so negative and into themselves.
The movie World Trade Center is coming out this week. It will be sad to see and I know I will cry alot. But, it will bring people back to reality once more, I hope. Give that person a smile when you see them in a mall even if they are from someplace that you don't care for. They will smile back It was like that for a while after September 11, remember?
We are all here together, let's try to remember that.
We are even fighting on here who's going to sell, who's not going to sell, so many different opinions, is it worth it to be angry here? Nah, I just want to say thank you for all the information that I get here and remember one thing,
take the time to stop and just enjoy life and give the ones you love a great big kiss and hug. You never know when that person may not be there to give that bigg kiss and hug.
bam

Sooooo true! I'm one that preserves her family with an iron fist at whatever cost. The 2-3 jobs, brand new cars to impress others can go to you know where. My family comes first, the rest follows...and that's why I'm considering getting out of Miami if it means to preserve my family & quality of life.

Default We miss the family and want to move closer to them!

lulu,
That's why we are moving! We miss our families and our grown children are moving back up with us. If everyone was down here I wouldn't go anywhere Just miss the family very much. We also need a bigger place for our business. So eventually it will all work out! Just have to be patient for a while

Pass it on, it may make this a better world

Talk to your real estate agent about the price - he/she will know the market best and you may want to raise the % of commission that you are paying for the realtor if you have it listed at 6% a 2% increase may not really make much of a difference to you and may make it sell faster. I am sure your agent will be more than happy to answer "What will it take to sell this house sooner rather than later?" Good Luck

The realtors cannot drag buyers off the street !!!!! Your property has to attract a buyer and be an almost perfect match to their wants and needs.

I know exactly what you mean. I think the best thing for a realtor to do is advertise a property. A virtual tour is wonderful because it brings the buyers from anywhere right into a home. We have a VT on our home and its wonderful.

The boom is over, reality is rearing it's ugly head. I see plenty of homes on the market, some sellers offering to pay the closing cost and throw in a 48" plasma TV. Desperation at best, until prices come down to earth again, even deep pocketed baby boomers are not rushing in as much as before.

Raise a realtor's commission??? Not on your life! Florida realtors are a selfish breed of their own.

In any other state, you can visit a site, for example Century 21 or a Coldwell Banker, and they will include as a courtesy all the listings of other area brokers on their site.

In Florida, you better list with a large realtor and you better like them because from what I see they don't share listings and they don't play nice. If you want to give something away to lure customers then give a perk or incentive that won't line the pocketbook of a realtor but will go directly to the buyer.
