I've heard unemployment is 59 total weeks. That would be the traditional 26 weeks + the 20 week extension + the last extention of 13 weeks = 59 total weeks. Has it been extended long than that? Anyone know? I've been unemployed since late last year, knew it was going to happen, I was prepared...

Is it still a total of 59 weeks? A neighbor told me it was extended beyond that. Looking for clarification.

Question 2 Years???

Up here in good old NY......one of my gym buddies just got a 13 week extension......that will make it 2 years on unemployment for him at the end of the 13 weeks...and according to him there is another bill pending that will give him another 13 weeks...once that is over...

I believe I finally found it. It is so hard to find out this info. Anyhow, it looks like it's a total of 79 weeks. Unemployment Benefits Comparison by State | File Unemployment

Mine was 20+13, then they tell you it is on a "case by case basis". Glad I have a job, because the peanuts FL throws you is yet better than nothing, still a joke. I was 3 weeks out from running out when I was hired by my last job...

From what I was told... 13 weeks from your state..with a 13 week extension from your state. Then on the 27th week as I understand the Federal Unemployment kicks in paid threw your state Unemployment. That gets renewed ??? with a total between your state & federal 99 weeks. "BUT" some where here I heard it was extended too either 109 or 119 total weeks."BUT" you here so many rumors your really not sure. Some states are trying too get a program started that will be mandatory after X many weeks "YOU WILL" have to show verifiable proof your looking for work and have contacted X many employers.. and that will also be verified.
