Hi, I'm planning to move to Florida this winter, just met my birth mother, it went great! She lives in Flagler Beach, she told me rent may be cheaper in this city, anyone know what one to two bedroom appartments go for in Bunnell?

There are some fairly new duplexes in "downtown" Bunnell, directly across the street from Bunnell Elementary. They're 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a garage and screened back porch. They go for $795. There isn't much rental property in Bunnell.

Also some condos, Palm Pointe, right off SR 100, I believe they're renting for close to $900.

Take a look at Florida Pennysavers and click on Flagler, then rentals.
Don't know what you need, but looks like there are cheaper apts. in Flagler Beach and tons of rentals in Palm Coast.

Good Luck!

30-40 mile radius would include all of Flagler county as well as the Ormond/Daytona area and southern St. John's county (St. Augustine.)

I'm just looking for the cheapest rent to start off, as long as it's a decent place and area.

Anything "decent" in Volusia (Ormond/Daytona,) Flagler (Flagler Beach, Palm Coast & Bunnell,) or St. Johns (St. Augustine,) is going to start around $600 a month and that will be a small 1 bedroom. Anything cheaper and decent rarely gets advertised, it's word of mouth.

If you're going to be working, you might want to check out the job market here. The wage scale could be quite different from where you live now.

There are some cute small apartments in Flagler Beach that might be in your price range.

Check the pennysaver and the daytona news journal for some private rentals- there seems to be a glut of rentals lately. I have a friend who rents a 3 BR/2BA/2Car garage duplex for $700 per month. Maybe a 1 or 2 BR would be in your price range. Palm Coast is between Bunnell and Flagler Beach. That's where you might find duplexes and homes for rent.

Thanx everyone, yea, I'll be working, not sure what job or pay yet, or if I'll start my lawn care gig down there eventually. Lot of things to consider, but rest assured, I'm commin'!

Well, it looks like my mom may have found a place for me to live, a friend of hers has a large house and is looking for a roomate. $550 everything included, I can deal w/that! Now to find a job, my cousin is in cable down there, I may look into concrete testing again, just need to get re-certified w/the ACI.
