I recently graduated with a degree in Geography, and I'm looking for a job in GIS. Does anyone have any advice for me?

You have anything particular you want to do with it? Any locations you'd like to look?

I am looking for a entry level position just to get started; probably using ESRI, since that's what I used in school. I'd be willing to locate anywhere in the Nation.

I'm looking for a mid-level GIS or planning job in the Ft. Lauderdale area but haven't seen much online. Is it pretty much dead in this area? Besides gov't I haven't seen many companies hiring GIS ppl besides Akins and SAIC.

Well there are not many out there with this bad economy. I would highly suggest looking at DC. I graduate from GW in DC one of my degrees was in geography. I get e-mails almost daily about GIS jobs in DC most of them not government.

Actually grew up in the DC and have no plans to return. Moving to FL for family.

I did find out that ESRI has an office in West Palm Beach.
