You need to talk to a lawyer, not get some advice on the internet.

You need to attend AA meetings before you get behind the wheel and end up killing someone ........

That's (DUI drivers) is one of my biggest fears about living in FLA - there's a stat that I once read that 1 in 10 drivers is legally drunk (after 9 pm).

Drinking and driving is a huge problem but I don't know where you got that figure. That figure is ridiculous, it is probably maybe 1/100 hundredth of that, maybe. Infact, what ever the stat it is going down. The neighborhood bar is almost a thing of the past. Bars are closing like crazy. The perception of the guy out there driving from bar to bar is a thing of the past. They now sit home and surf the net, watch their cable and satellite TV with the sports packages and 50 inch TV's hardly ever go out. I was in the bar business and I would never own a bar today it is hard to even make a living.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. I'm sure that at least that percentage, if not more, are diving without licenses or insurance.

Four DUI's? You're lucky you didn't go to jail.

DUI is a criminal offense, and you need to appear in court. You can't just pay the ticket like you can with a traffic violation. You probably had all that on your summons and either chose to ignore it or were too stoned to notice. Unfortunately FLorida doesn't enforce bench warrants like other states do.

The earlier advice is the correct advice, you need to speak to a lawyer. And yes, you are very likely barred from getting a license for life based on your previous irresponsible behavior.

If you can prove you've turned your life around, continue to attend meetings weekly, and have a 10 year coin medallioin, you might be able to convince a judge to allow you to have a license--possibly restricted.

If you aren't clean and sober, you shouldn't be driving, period, and I urge you to get help immediately before you kill someone.

Bad luck, dude. In Florida, someone usually has to kill a person before their license is taken away. DUI isn't even a felony in most cases. Kentucky probably revoked your license. The world's safer if you just take the bus, but good luck.

I'm afraid that this fella might be a danger even on a skateboard, running over a hapless senior couple at the mall or beach. Hopefully if he's been using the bus since 2002, he'll continue to do so.
