I am going to move to lake county next month. I am desperate looking for a good apartment somewhere in Mount Dora, Eustis, Leeburg area. Can anyone please give me some hints. I prefer new apartment in a safe area.

HI. We've also done a bit of apartment searching and we've been looking in Marion Co. During one search, I added several miles of the surrounding area which included Leesburg and Eustis. I was really impressed with an apartment called "Blueberry Hill." I think it was in Leesburg and it looked quite nice for the price. You may want to try Rent.com or Apartmentguide or Rentnet or ForSale. They have a lot of info on there and pics of some of the apartments, also. Good luck.

Thanks so much for your reply Jammie. I did see that apartment when I did my search, but I am not sure that it looks exactly like the photos. I also went to a website called apartmentreview.com, and I am so scared about what peole say about the apartment that they are living.
I wish I could get a job in Orlando area, so it is easier for me to look for the renting ( I have to be there in mid August, but I am not lucky so far to find a place to live. I might end up live in the hotel for at least one week before I can find a place to live.

As far as Blueberry Hills apartments goes, I would proceed with caution. A person who I know and who has lived there for a number of years has had rent increases of over 10% each of the past two years providing no improvements to the apartment. In addition, the person who lives there told me that a notice was posted on each apartment only a couple of months ago stating that someone had to be there on a particular day at 9 AM - working hours for most people - to allow someone to enter the apartment for some particular reason. If the renter wasn't there at 9 AM to let the other person in, a $25 charge would be levelled against the renter. I've visited this person many times and have not particularly impressed with the apartment layouts for the amount of money charged for the rent.

i'm about to turn of age, and i need an apartment . i'm getting no help i live in lake co. help me!!!!! i've seached for months!! and get no help and i have many people searching!! what can i do?? i need advice???

Did you find a place to live in the MtDora/Eustis/Leesburg area?
I'm looking to move to that area by November 1st and its very difficult to find a reasonably priced apartment that's in a decent area. Currently living near Orlando but can't stand the commute; I work in Leesburg. I figure I'll make the drive to Orlando on the weekends, but not every day!
There is a brand new apartment complex in Mt Dora called Hammock Oaks-- beautiful, very well done, but at the top of my budget.
I found some houses that would be nice, but too big for just me.
