Don't want to bore you with a life story so here is a breakdown:

25 y/o male moving with fiance from IL
I'm a physical therapist (access to hospitals is key)and she is a cosmetologist
Both love the outdoors - golfing, hiking, beach
Climate = being able to golf year round would be ideal
Love to go to professional/college sporting events
Would rather eat out at a restaurant/catch a movie than do the club scene
Most importantly is the golf - we want a place with an absurd # of courses available

Any opinions on which cities/parts of Florida we should look into? Just want to hear some honest opinions from locals. Thanks a lot.

Anyplace Orlando and south, on either coast, will be loaded with golf courses.

Pro sports mean Orlando, Tampa or Miami, or Jacksonville.

Southwest Florida has the most golf courses, but its not going to have the professional/college sports you are looking for. Tampa and South Florida (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach) are going to have more what you want.
