Contacted The Villages, (1-800-245-1081) and confirmed with George, service coordinator that 2 domesticated animals are allowed regardlees of size.
lorriem, I understand your concern however, really believe you won't have a problem with the three. The Villages are a easy going community. I guess it would depend on the neighbors as well. Hope all works out for you.

Thankyou GSspeed for doing that. I will give them a call.We like what we see at the villages but we are also thinking of NC because of this mess in FL with the homeowners ins.If we had known what would happen in FL I doubt we would have moved from CA. We had lived there for 25 years. The cost of living in our house here is so much more then what we had been paying in Ca but we are priced out of that market now. Hindsight is 20 20 right?

HOI as skyrocketed in all parts of Florida-even those less affected by hurricaines.
On top of that there are only a few insurers still writing policies-and many, many people are having their policies cancelled (they call it non-renewal) which forces them into the state-run program or go without.
I am one of the lucky ones. Allstate hasn't cancelled me and I have a $5000.00 hurricaine dfeductible.

You are lucky we had Allstate for 29 years and we got that non-renewal letter what a shock that was.I read that they will be getting out of home ins in certain states including Conn.

Thanks for explaing that. I thought it was due to the past tornados etc. I really can't believe the insurance companiesreaction. I assume they are aware Florida is prone to hurricanes and such (maybe not central Fl.) but tornados seem to be a rerity. Long Island NY I believe just had two and I don't hear insurance companies not renewing policies and such. Seems they are looking to just upping the policies, I could be wrong. If you don't mind my asking, how much do you pay in insurance? I'm cotemplating a move to Summerfield Fl., Orange Blosson Hills sub-division, and guess the increase or non coverage affects there as well.

I pay $4586 for homeowners insurance and I live in Naples.
I made an error in my prior post. My hurricaine deductible is $6840.

The Villages
My mother-in-law just moved there. I understand that they have different neighborhoods within the Villages. The different neighborhoods reflect every taste and budget.
Seeing she just moved there I would really recommend that you not move there. As she is a real BE-OCH!
