No Kids
There are no kids allowed to live in the Villages. There is a community right near The Villages that is set aside for workers of the Villages with children. I can't remember the name, (sorry) but I did recently notice that there were some homes for sale there.
Calling 1-800-346-4556 should get you your answers.

Home for families in The Villages
Yes, there is a family section in The Villages. It is for employees of The Villages. One section is off 466 toward the Village of LaZamora. I don't know if there are more sections than that for example in the new areas of The Villages.
I can't help you as to whom you should speak with, but I would imagine a Salesperson or at least a Sales supervisor could help you.
Good luck!!

The Villages in 08
I'm researching The Villages as a potential relocation site, and have read the previous threads, but I'd like to hear from some residents regarding current conditions. There seem to be a lot of pre-owned homes for sale (on the website) and I was wondering why? Also, could anyone comment on the issue of "crime" in The Villages and outside the communities, in Lady Lake? I've read their Forum and have learned a lot from those posts but perhaps there is more to learn from this source. Thank you for any comments on The Villages.

My inlaws live there. It seems pretty nice, but it is growing at a remarkable pace. When you get a lot of elderly people, after a while you get sharks that prey upon them.

Yes, there is a beautiful development that allows families and large pets. Beautiful maintenance free condominium living. I'm 38, lived there for a year, work in the villages, and don't plan on leaving any time soon. As soon as you pull up to the exit of the development, if you look to the right, there is a "The Villages" sign starting right at you.
Lakeside Landings is on the Sumter side of The Villages. 5 mins from the new Super Wal-Mart @ CR 466 & US 301 and 5 mins from Arnold Palmer Country Club and Lake Sumter Landing.
Lakeside Landings
Lakeside Landing is not officially a part of The Villages, but it is literally on the edge. If you work for the Villages and want your kids in the charter schools, the Villages High School is 5 mins away and the elementary/middle school is about 15 mins away. I personally do not have kids, but have seen the school bus come to the entrance and pick up kids for both the public and charter schools.
