Where in Florida are you looking for this program?

My grandson went to a wonderful private pre-K program in Palm Coast. Security measures included parents having to have a key card to get in the front door, check in with the secretary at the front desk, and also security surveillance cameras in the lobby, hall, and parking lot, then the parent had to be buzzed in to enter the hallway to get to the classrooms. The classroom doors, however, weren't locked so the children didn't feel closed in. It was also a clean facility with loving, well-trained teachers. He went there for 2 years (until he started Kindergarten) and was very happy and safe. You have to shop around and go to visit unannounced.
I personally would not want my child or grandchild going to school or preschool in a strip mall! |

Do the church's have pre schools? Is that a consideration?

I've been researching preschools in Palm Beach County for my son. We are moving there as soon as our house in NY sells. I was told by three different schools that offer the voluntary pre-k (VPK) program that the state pays only a percentage and the parents pick up the rest. These schools also had waiting lists a mile long. Private schools are a better option IF you can afford about $500/month. Even the Catholic schools cost that much. For preschool! But I guess you can't put a price on a good education for your children

My daughter went to St Peters in Wellington on Forest Hill Blvd, and it was absolutely wonderful! You will probably have to be on a waiting list at this time, but usually by the time school rolls around, there are open spots. three of the kids in her class this past year came in after a few weeks when some kids left. Also, Cambridge offers the free vpk program and I hear they are very good.

There is a Hi-Tech Academy in Jacksonville providing a great VPK program in a nice clean secure setting. It closely resembles the 3 great Hi-Tech Academy locations in Jupiter. Hi-Tech Academy scored in the top scores for academic kindergarten readiness in Jupiter and Palm Beach County. The Jacksonville preschool scored just as high. Check it out! I guarantee you and your child will be happy at Hi-Tech Academy.
