I am wondering what month it gets cold and how long does it last?
Again, thank you.
You aren't going to need the stuff you had in Michigan. The stuff you wore in the fall up there should be more than sufficient. I have a parka, which I have worn exactly three times in as many years.

I have lived in Tallahassee for 20 years now, and it has snowed rarely: in 1987 or 88, a couple of inches, and then a flurry here and there every few years, but it almost never stays on the ground.

The coldest I ever saw it get was around 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit. That is fairly unusual, but temps in the 20's are not uncommon in late December through February. Many people in Tallahassee have fireplaces and use them this time of year. You don't see that much in the more southern parts of Florida.

Toro is on a distinguished road
I've been in Tallahassee for 10 years and I've seen snow twice - once at Doak Campbell watching the Seminoles-Gators game, and once on Capital Circle. Both times, the snow never hit the ground.

Winter can get a chilly. There have been spells where the nightly lows are into the teens. However, it is rarely below zero for the entire day. And its has also been 80 on Christmas.

I'm Canadian, so these "cold" days don't faze me a bit, though it is amusing to see the locals walking around in mittens and touques and scarves and downfill jackets
