I've also heard people reporting that they can actually smell the burning oil in PCB and elsewhere. Is there any legitimate report of this?

Thank God not at all, No burning smell at least here in Panama City Beach. The latest Oil Spill Projections showed that sadly it will affect from the Mississippi Canyon to Pensacola, but it wont reach FWB, Destin neither PCBeach, lets pray for a faster action from the authorities, from BP and the goverment. This site is following the events closely.

The beaches here are the most beautiful beaches in Florida I believe that to be the entire US. I canít even think about these beaches being destroyed. My daughter tells me that a lot of vacationers are calling in and they are telling them what they have been told by our marine people and that is it will not impact Panama City Beach or Destin, Florida.

She is abosolutely right. =)

Default trip

I am also going the week of June 19-26. I do not know if I need to cancel. I live in Nashville, TN. and my husband's trucking plant is completely under water from the flood this past weekend. We do not know when he will get to go back. We need some light at the end of the tunnel.
