Default Post Office Transfer to Florida

Anyone else working for the Post Office and waiting on a transfer? DH has been on a list since January to come on down to Central Florida and hasn't been chosen yet. Just wondering on how long to expect. REALLY want to be in Florida soon!

Hi Paws,
Is your husband a carrier? My husbad used to be a carrier here in NY (until he decided to go into the supervisor program). We were told (by other carriers) that it usually takes at least 4 months (6-7 is more like it) for Florida. Where are you looking to go? We're looking into Saint Augustine. Good luck to you and your family.

Default carrier

Yes, Hubby is a carrier. he put in for cities back in January. We had heard the 4 month time period also...but here we are still in Ohio 6 months later. I do know that parts of Central Florida had a hiring freeze for a couple of months (Feb - April), so I really can't count it as 6 months. Good luck to you also. We are looking at the Leeburg,Clermont area.
