does anyone else get bothered for no apparent reason by their city, with non-existent code violation letters,i just received one asking me to move a vehicle with no tag from my driveway, because its a nuisance to the health of the community, funny thing is there is no such vehicle in my driveway nor has there ever been..they also say that there is a tractor partially on my lawn,so if the tractor is sticking six inches into my property, how dumb are you to ask me to remove it,instead of asking the neighbor who owns the tractor and the land where the other 99% of the tractor sits...these city people are the ones who are the nuisance...im getting tired of their crap.......

Just call the inspector who wrote it and get it straitened out. You don't want these guys on your property they will find a lot to complain about, believe me, if you antagonize them.
had the same thing a few weeks ago with a wrecked car on the property.

Next thing I knew, it was pealing paint, cars parked on grass and not in a proper drive way, fruit in the yard off my mango tree and building supplies stored on the property. All this because I didn't put a cover over the wrecked car so no one could see it that got his attention. No one complained, he told me he saw the car. He is supposed to be back in about a week but I got everything done. You just have to kiss-ass, do not want these guys in your life.

Most of these guys are bums, ex-cops or what ever that get these cushy jobs. When I was in the bar business I had a bunch of these guys who came in everyday, I was close to city hall, they were just a bunch of drunks still staying on the payroll. Deal with them once and will have no use for them. Most are total a$$holes on a power trip.

No, I pay these people to harass you.

While I have no problem with a wrecked car sitting in a garage or even on a farm that is on more than 5 acres of land, I do have a problem with someone's chrunched up car stored in their grass in a typical neighborhood or even in their driveway. PUT IT IN YOUR GARAGE! Otherwise, move to the country where no one cares about what's in your back yard.

Regarding rotting mangos - this ain't some third world country where you can let rotting food linger around. Rotting oranges, mangos, fruit, etc. lead to rodent infestations that cause health concerns for not just you, but your neighbors.

Now, if one car in decent condition is stored in a driveway and it just doesn't have a tag, I don't think that's anyone's business, including the govenment's, unless your HOA doesn't permit this.

Sounds like you will make a perfect inspector, now if you are a useless drunk you got the job.

ditto! I'm with you on this one
I just bought a home in a gated community with a strong HOA just so I wouldn't have to deal with yahoos who store their heaps in the front yard and don't maintain their property, and then they wonder why their property values are down.
Maybe in very rural areas where people have many acres of property could you get away with keeping a junk yard on the property but in built up areas storing junk in the front yard is very low class and unacceptable to most people

Let me put it to you this way - that drunk, useless inspector that I can call to get my neighbor to do the right thing by maintaining his property will probably save him a window or two from bricks that happen to randomly fly at nasty houses during the middle of the night in a decent neighborhood.

It's kind of funny how all sorts of things like that can happen - even in nice neighborhoods. I do fees so sorry for the poor slob of the neighborhood who is allways getting picked on. Those darn teenagers, what can you do?

You lost all creditability when you said everyone should be in bed by 10 p.m.. Now you advocate illegal acts, harassment and violence if you don't like your neighbor. You are the kind of person we are talking about. You are exactly what people are trying to be away from when they move to a gated community.
