OH MY!! These pics are beyond beautiful!!!!

For me, I adore the beach! There is something about it that soothes my soul, really.
I think that some people are beach people and others just are not. It just depends on the person.
When we move down in 2 weeks, I will be 5 minutes away from the beach, and although I am busy, I will make every effort to spend a little time each day at the beach!

Jen

Lived in Naples for 23 years and avoided the beach like the plague.... Forget it. Water was murky brown, if it wasn't red tide it was jelly fish season or stingray season, or filled to the max with seaweed and some of it burns your skin. The water was hotter than some baths I take and thats saying IF I can actually get to the water will all my skin intact on the bottem of feet from the extreame heat of the sand itself. NOOO thanks.. Now give me Hampton Beach here in NH or Rye Beach.. I drive 2 hours a couple times am month just to go, free concerts in the band shells, I can bring my dog, spend the day at the 2 story arcade ON the beach, eat at Buckies Weenie wagon.

I can't believe what a difference from what was described about the Naples Beach and what I experienced on the Clearwater Beach. In Clearwater, the water is a perfect temperature, not cold, slightly warm and the beach is simply beautiful. Love, love, love being there.

We never miss a few hours at Clearwater when we are in the area.
You described it perfectly. Clearwater is just beautiful and of course the gift shop in the middle of the beach gets allot of my money too as the wife and kids love it!
I like the drive out to Clearwater Beach, what a sight.

I haven't been to all of Florida, but I don't know how you can live in Florida without be impressed by its beaches. Whether I experienced it first-hand or simply seen in pictures, Florida beaches are gorgeous...and if you are lucky enough to catch the sunset over them...wow!

We went to the beach several times a month in MA/NH. We have been 3 times in 3 years here. Once to the east coast and it was not very clean/pretty. Once to Clearwater and it was awful Red Tide and a few months ago kyaking-that was nice.

Default Anybody going to the beach?

I'm still a fairly recent transplant. I go to the beach several times a month and a lot of times it's always a different beach. When I lived in PA I commuted 2 hours one way to the Jersey shore every weekend of the summer. Did it for years. I was always amazed when I would hear others talking on the beach about how they drove from Ohio or Michigan, etc. so far to get there. I took it for granted that it was so easy for me to get there any time I liked - even at two hours one way! Guess we just enjoy the beach. My entire family does also. We meet there, bring sandwiches, take umbrellas and games. It makes for great family memories, no matter how old your family gets. We're beginning to introduce it to a whole new generation of our family.

We really enjoy Clearwater Beach and have been going there for years, even before we moved her permanently. We've always chosen different months and seasons to go. Thankfully I have never experienced the negative things I've read here about that beach.

YES why live in Florida if you don't take advantage of what it has to offer. The beach, fishing and beautiful wildlife is what makes Florida what it is. Enjoy it while you can.

I go to the beach all the time.

I'm a Florida native, and not a beach person, although I went a lot when I was much younger. Now that I am in my fifties, with skin cancer running in my family I pretty much stay away. In all honesty I am not a water baby anyway - don't boat, fish or swim. I prefer lakes to any other body of water.

That said, it is enjoyable to visit a beach now and then, but mostly I like to go to the waterfront restaurants and drink wine and eat while watching a beautiful sunset!
