West coast beaches suck.
Does everybody go to the beach or just go once or twice a year?
If i move back i think i will go at least once a month.

Whenever my husband needs a break or I feel he does, a walk on the beach does the trick. Better for us than anything. So serene, peaceful. Nothing like Fort Lauderdale beach at 6:30 AM when the sun is just starting to come up!

We don't live in FL yet, we are about 4-5 months away. But I live in Southeastern Massachusetts and have a beach literally down the street from my house. I am there all the time, even today when it was 35 degrees out, my husband and I grabbed some take out and sat in the car at the beach and looked out at the ocean. In the summer, I am there every day. So I can only assume that when I move, I will be at the beach often, maybe not as often as now since we will be living about 25 mins from the nearest beach, but often enough. We chose where in Fl we will be moving to based on how close to the water we will be. I would like to be closer but we get priced out the closer we get.
We have family that moved to Sarasota about 15 years ago. Some never go to the beach, but one of the cousins still goes a few times a week when she can.

OMG those pictures make me so homesick. All I see are trees here, nice when they have leaves on them yes, but during the winter everything is so gloomy here in NC.
I wish we would have went to the beach more, we went once a month with the kids, but not too much before having them. We are moving back in June and are going to take advantage of everything FL has to offer! It's like being a born again Floridian! I might even get a boat this time. I miss home!

Nope, never go. Unless you live near the beach, going is kind of a hassle. You have to pack everything up, find a parking spot, and try to keep from trashing the inside of your car with salt water and sand. Living by the beach is another story.
When you work days - there are other things to do than fight traffic on your precious few days off.

When I lived in Florida I barely went to the beach. I am more of a city guy and like city activities. There was not much to do at the beaches in Central Florida.
