Viewing several recipes threads and it appears some welcome discussion while others have their day ruined if you suggest something to their grandmothers "perfect" recipe...I welcome suggestions but realize I do not speak for all.

What do you posters and the mods think about this idea?

There are very few recipes I follow to the letter. At least initially. The only one I can think of right now is homemade biscuits. I even modified it the second time.

I will add what I think makes sense to a recipe. The next time, I may add something else but leave out the first trial's make sense ingredient.

It's safe to say no recipe is safe around me. I always add, subtract, multiply...
