I also made banana pudding from scratch for the first time. SIL and BIL are about to roll in for the weekend. I hope the dinner goes over all right. If, not, I'll feed them something normal tomorrow.
If the recipe turns out well, will you please share it, it sounds interesting!

My wife called it poppy seed pork. It was cooked in a crock pot over night with apples and poppy seed. A few carrots and a tad of celery. Served over a bed of rice. The side was mixed broccoli, sugar snap peas, etc. Now for a nap.

I went to Whole Foods for the very first time. It's about 25 minutes away.

They have like 4 salad bars. & one is all different type of grain dishes. So I took a big spoonfull of all different types, one package of sushi, a package of blueberry blintzes, tofu salad, & crawfish salad.

Kids said it felt like we were at a buffet...Strange combos I Know!

I fixed baked chicken breasts that had garlic, seasoned salt, dillweed and Italian spices mixed in a little oil brushed on them. Roasted carrots, boiled potatoes and cottage cheese. No room for dessert.

I love Whole Foods. They have sooo much good stuff to eat.
Tonight we had leftover BBQ pork, swedish meatballs(no rice), and jalapeno poppers. To make the poppers, carefully take off the stem, cut the peppers in half, seed the peppers with a spoon (leave a bit of flesh at stem end so the cheese doesn't melt out), fill the pepper halves with cream cheese or grated cheddar, top with 1/3 piece of bacon(I don't wrap them), bake at 400 degrees until bacon is done. YUMYUM
