We had an easy meal tonight. Smoked beef sausage with sauerkraut, sliced tomatoes, lime jello with peaches.

DH and I are on holidays now so we'll be eating out much more often than usual, which is a nice treat for us. There's a thing going on here in San Diego: Restaurant Week, where different restaurants will serve a 3-course meal for a set price, $20, $30 or $40. Great way to try restaurants and food you probably wouldn't normally. For appetizer I had a chilled watermelon & tomato gazpacho with crab & avocado. Delicious and very refreshing. Then for the main course I had a braised duck leg in an orange & pepper sauce. And for dessert I had Tiramisu. It was great value: $40. In Australia it would have cost twice that easily. I'm so full and satisfied.

CRAP!

Steak went bad, so it's carry out Olive Garden.

Not a bad alternative, but I was looking forward to that fried steak.
