See's chocolates whenever I visit California, good one Fontucky.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil, fancy cheeses on occasion, sometimes wine, fancy olives, salamis, etc.

I do buy a lot of fresh produce but I save a lot of money by avoiding most of the boxed foods.

Oh I almost forgot, I splurge on ordering Peet's Tea shipped to the house.

Last edited by Debsi; 09-23-2010 at 08:27 AM.. Reason: tea!

I'm 5 miles from a fully-stocked See's store. Must. Exercise. Control.

Grass-fed beef and free range chicken/eggs -- the flavor is so much better, and the beef is much leaner.

Organic and/or locally grown produce (and the canning supplies to preserve much of it through the winter)

A kazillion different flavors and varieties of tea

Low-carb baked goods

The 10 cans of Skyline Chili I brought back from Cincinnati last weekend ...

Jesh. wow...well we have our own couple of free range chickens that provide plenty for us.

Splurge Items: That depends on the amount of $$ left over to splurge

Whenever we make the run to Albuquerque we do go and have--SUSHI.....CHURASI FOR ME.

-a nice big T-bone or Porterhouse or even better yet a RIB-eye
-love Seafood, hard to get except frozen...but maybe towards the holidays--a lob tail,
-artisian bread
-and I get my lady See's on birthdays, holidays, anniversary, or just when I can. See's is about a 3 hour drive for us. Only (1) store in NM, but, during the cold times I have had it mailed and it was fine.
---last but not least a nice Rib Roast
-oh, maybe a goose to roast
-oh, can't forget a really good Bottle of Scotch...
-maybe even a good bottle of wine
That's all folks.

HW and Suninhair
