probably because some peole have tried brownies with sea salt and maybe this has the same flavor

Salt actually brings out the sweetness in foods. Same reason you add salt to baked goods like cakes, brownies, etc. Oh, and that Modern Family episode was great.

Someone put salt in my chocolate milk one time; I never noticed. When I would look away, they added more. I never did notice.
