We all need a little fat and salt but I'm sure I over do those. Here is one way to enjoy the best green vegetable in the world.
On those days when you slip off your healthy diet for a bit of fatty salty and delicious broccoli, try batter frying small hunks for dipping. We make a batch of tempura batter and not so deep fry a medley of stuff from small shrimp, onion rings, snow peas, pickled serrano peppers and of coarse broccoli.
We use kosher salt and fry in olive oil.
I whup up a batch of dipping sauce with a bit of mustard, mayo, ketchup, hot sauce, a pinch of mixed Italian seasoning and a few drops of liquid smoke and a few drops of balsamic vinegar.

My old "Show Me State" stepfather used to say, "Just about all of the best things in life are either illegal, immoral or fattening"
