I just received an automated phone call for a voluntary recall of frozen peas and frozen peas and carrots sold under the Kroger badge. I was wondering what bacteria could grow since they were frozen. The recall is not over bacteria but glass fragments

Thanks for that info! I certainly appreciate knowing it! Glass fragments can easily be missed thinking it's ice particles from the freezer or once cooked, salt flecks. Thank you!

You're welcome! I had no idea why I was receiving an automated phone call from Kroger.

Arrow News, Supplier recalls frozen vegetables due to glass fragments.

(CNN) -- Packages containing frozen vegetables sold nationally by Wal-Mart and at Kroger stores in the Southeast may contain glass fragments, the supplier said Friday in announcing a voluntary recall.

While there have been no reports of injuries, the Pictsweet Co. of Bells, Tennessee, is advising the public not to eat the recalled store-brand vegetables because of the potential for harm.
