Beef roast, tomato-based gravy it was cooked in...loaded mashed potatoes, steamed peas and carrots, and homemade French bread...life is good today

Well, no squash or chicken. Ended up making sandwiches and we ate assorted leftovers.

Hb grilled the chix for tomorrow...and, the squash? We'll see.

Well, this will be an informal review of "Fire Cracker Chicken" Frozen Meal, by TGIF. It comes in a 24 oz. bag, in the freezer section of the store. They were on sale last week, so I bought a few. The package says it serves 2.5, so I thought I would have leftovers for lunch the next day.

In the package is, five pieces of chicken, I kid you not...five. A small portion of frozen mixed vegetables, a small bag of pasta, and sauce. It was easy to cook, tasted okay...not great...not bad...but it was not 2.5 servings of food, that is for sure.

I had seared sirloin, roasted purple cauliflower with cumin, coriander and chili flakes and garlic roasted-carrots. Oh and a slaw with beets, carrots and apples in a lemon-ginger dressing. I needed to use lots of veggies from my produce box.

Steak, corn casserole, macaroni & cheese, salad. Apple pie for dessert.

We're at the height of "let's get fat" season. I better cut it out!
