Dinner may be part of the 2 quarts of spaghetti gravy that were rescued last night and put in refrigerator.. they were still cold (felt as if they were refrigerated not frozen) and freezer was still cold feeling.. they're OK, right? I would've rescued more but I thought freezer had just been left ajar, didn't realize was broken! Could just shoot self this morning.

Dinner tonight will be left over spaghetti.

Oh, how awful, Debsi! I agree with Kats, though....the gravy should be fine to eat today. Hopefully, you can at least enjoy that today....

Can you recommend a particular brand? I've tried a couple and it was too...not good. But I know I've had some whole wheat pasta that was...milder, maybe?
Debsi, my condolences on your loss
Tonight likely will be canned tuna with salad greens. Maybe some cheese and crackers for a snack later. And...say it with me...fun size butterfingers for dessert

All I really have left here is some thin spaghetti and a jar of sauce...and a pack of Roman (brand) Italian sausages. So unless I make that...I can always get a Checkers bacon cheeseburger....but that's pretty crappy for my health....Oh well, I don't know what the heck I'll do. Maybe I'll have a bowl of sugar snap peas with brocolli and cheese and a piece of Italian bread.

Thanks for all the condolences everybody! I am most sad about my beautiful gravy. I spent hours on that!! Oh well at least we ate some of it. Guess who'll be making another batch of gravy this December??
I'm going to invest in a chest freezer. The one that died was part of my 11 year old fridge/freezer that was the first big appliance I ever bought ($600 isn't too bad for 11 years I guess). The chest freezers are under $200, but some of the reviews are worrying me implying that they only last 3 years cause all appliances are built junky nowadays. Does anybody here have a Lowes Holiday brand freezer? I really don't want to repeat the spoiled food experience soon! I can't wait to throw it all away tonight.

I agree - I have all frigidaire appliances! ALSO, I love love love my upright freezer, instead of a chest type. I think because I know I would never "dig" to the bottom of it if it was full of food! LOL
Dinner tonight is def leftover spaghetti for DH, and fish sticks and hushpuppies for me.

My freezer died last year. It was a 3 1/2 year old Frigidaire. POS. But I ended up replacing it with another. I did buy a bigger, nicer one. When I shopped for them, no matter what kind I looked at, they all seemed to be the same, and according to every sales person, no matter of the brand, I was told they were all made in the same factory. Good luck in your shopping.
