Tonight I am doing something with shrimp, but I don't know quite what. It is going to be a little warmer today but not like Texas, OK and we have been the past few weeks. Yesterday, here in No West Ar our temps dropped to the 80s (depending on where you lived) we got a soft summer rain most of the day. That, most like will not return til Hell freezes over. Today will be mid 90s

One last Wok dish for the week: Shrimp w/Asparagus, Pea pods, Oyster Sauce. Nothing special. Don't really care for Shrimp in the 1st place!
Was going to make the Chicken/Spinach Cheesy Lasagna dish today, but I cracked the whip and plowed ahead with it. Oh Lord above! I had two plates of it, and I'll have another plate of it before I go to bed. Out of sight!!!
Why did it have to be sooooooooooooo good!
No more cooking now 'til next Tuesday. And I just hate looking into the freezer and seeing 3 racks of yummy frozen leftovers! What fun is that!!!
Curse my mother for saying it was a sin to throw food away! Gotta eat it or I'll go to hell!!

Nita, if you like horseradish, try the Mustard-Horseradish shrimp dish I've posted about. Dawn and I LOVE it!!! It's super easy too.
I'll dig up my old post if you want it.
Dinner tonight is to be announced.

Please do. We have changed our menu for tonight: after picking about 8 bell peppers this morning I have decided to have stuffed bells which I don't think I have fixed in 2 or 3 years (it was a regular dish when the kids were little)
Yes, we love horseradish and I would love to have the recipe. I will use it next week.

Last night's dinner ended up being soup--DH is suffering from swollen tonsils. Not sure if he'll be able to eat tonight either so guess I'll try to figure out something soft or mushy to fill his tummy. Mashed potatoes and??????? Will try to stop by later to fill in the blanks.

Nita,
From post 2682 of this thread:
"We're having shrimp in mustard-horseradish sauce with french bread for sopping up extra sauce, steamed green beans, and berries.
I love this recipe."
Kalyn's Kitchen: Recipe for Shrimp with Mustard-Horseradish Sauce
As I said above, I prefer this as a main dish tho the blogger calls it an appetizer. The sauce complements green beans SOOO well, and lightly toasted french bread as well. I think Dawnie prefers it over rice though.

Roast chicken, yellow rice, and peas, just not feeling very inspired lately, must be the heat.
