Aw crap, Debsi found the thread! LOL!

Y'know what, Debsi? I made it twice: once with the San Marzanos (fabulous), once with "regular"-style tinned tomatoes (not so fabulous AT ALL). At first I figured that it HAD to be the tomatoes that made it work, but then I started second-guessing myself.

I guess the next time I make it -- with San Marzanos -- will be the tie-breaker, but now I'm back to thinking that the tomatoes were the key, seeing as there are only 3 ingredients and it was SO terrific the first time.
