Either going to do a quiche or a breakfast casserole. Have a ton of appy's planned for the rest of the day. Pinto beans made in the slow cooker will substitute for black eyed peas.

It just depends.

This year defrosting meaty ham bone to make a big batch of lima beans. It's not the traditional black eye peas new year meal, but close enough.

It's just me, so I'm not cooking a lot, but I'll be doing my usual twist on the traditional southern New Years meal ... Andouille, black eye peas, and collards soup with some corn bread (gluten free) on the side.

Oh just another day to me. I'll grill a bone in rib eye steak, baked potato, bbq beans, corn bread, sweet tea and a peach cobbler for dessert with vanilla ice cream.

I got a small container of the fresh black eyed peas to cook with onion, celery, and a cubed ham steak.

Red and green coleslaw

Ciabatta bread & crackers

Boursin and swiss cheeses

Carrot, celery, and daikon sticks with buttermilk ranch dressing

Tangerines (I bought this huge bag and I know my mom is about to mail me a huge box of grapefruits )
