I'm currently awaiting my wife to return home with some cheese steaks for us.

Pennsylvania is steeped in cheese steak history.
I live in Allentown where I have twelve different restaurants specializing in cheese steaks available to me.
Tonight's slice of heaven comes from The Brass Rail; http://www.brassrailrestaurant.com/
A long time tradition in cheese steak history being established in 1931.

It's good to be in PA.

Slices of heaven they sure are.

I am thinking of taking a trip to Philadelphia just to get me some.

I miss a really good cheese steak! I am from the Reading area, and when I go back east to visit, a trip to V & S Sandwich shop in Shillington or Reiffton is always a must. They make the BEST!

I remember the Brass Rail - I've eaten there many, many times. Jay's Steaks and Subs, too - are they still in business?

I live within walking distance to Jay's.
They are very much in business and make a fantastic cheese steak!!

I bet you miss the food.
I know I sure would if I moved away.

DO I EVER! I always put on at least five pounds when I go back east (and lose ten when I come back home). Jay's are good, but I think V & S's are better. Hard roll, with provolone cheese. If you are in Reading, try it! They make an awesome Italian Sandwich, too. Good's Potato Chips (the kind fried in lard), and an A Treat Birch Beer round out the meal.
