Ours are $1.99 and I pick them up and eat it at work and once hubby was driving and I was the passenger. I have never tried to eat it and drive. Same thing for their yogurt and granola that I love during warmer months. I pick it up. Just because you get it at drive thru doesn't mean it has to be eaten while driving.
What?.. $2.59? I can buy a tube carton of oats at the Dollar Store. I can a bowl in 2 minutes. I like my oatmeal. It's therapeutic for the digestive tract. Feels good, helps to move things along, and my poop comes out darling.
Given THAT logic, maybe we should NOT discuss ANY restaurants since no matter what restaurant you go to, you can produce the same food at home for less cost.
Better than a McMuffin. However, ordering something you'll have to eat with a spoon while driving seems unwise.
I agree with you comment to me. When I ordered the oatmeal at Starbucks, I decided that whatever they wanted to give me, I would take. And it was all good.
I wish that I had stopped at McDonalds for oatmeal on my way to work yesterday. Instead, I ordered a breakfast sandwich at Starbucks. It honestly looked like the hamburger in the old Wendy's "Where's the beef?" commercial. It was a sandwich that was the epitome of portion control - very, very small.
The whole point of fast food is to get something quickly that would take too long make at home. I can make a pack of instant oatmeal at home in 2 minutes. I don't get it.

I get your point but I have to answer: Not necessarily. Many people pick up items from fast food restaurants because they are not close to home. I will buy oatmeal and take it to work with me; since my commute is one hour long I don't want to eat while I am still at home (too early). I think it is insane that I pay $1 for a large sweet tea when I could make it at home so much cheaper but I love the convenience! Live and let live!

Well, oatmeal is pretty much oatmeal. But lots of other restaurant food has a unique taste and feel that can't be duplicated at home. Deleted
