i pay $1.49 a pound for boneless skinless chicken breasts. even the cheapest cold cuts would probably be like $4 a pound and good ones i think are $9 a pound (i dont know those numbers too well because i dont buy them). so it just doesnt make sense to me to get them. i like my grilled chicken breasts.
i recently catered a party from a deli and they charge something like $24 a pound for their corned beef. its some yummy corned beef but im not getting that on any kind of regular basis.

You know, you 100% right about this. I have just been lazy. I used to get a fresh turkey breast from the Tewes Turkey Farm nearby, drape it with bacon and slow roast it in the oven. Then bag it in the juice and thin slice it for a week of delicious sandwiches instead of the three days deli meat lasts.

I think I'll put that on my to do list.
i saw this yesterday in the circular of a local supermarket. i may need to give it a shot, gotta figure out how to cook it first. not sure how much weight the bone works out to. i like that my boneless skinless chickens is pure meat (and i know how to grill them already).
We'll get thin sliced deli ham or turkey sometimes.
Lately I've been eating vegetarian fare: black bean wraps, hummus and veggie pita pockets, mushroom burgers, peanut butter on whole grain english muffins....
A pack of salami every once in awhile is about it.
