Kinds of Foods to Stock Up on Moving to a New Home (frozen, homemade)

I know there will be all kinds of answers and basically I know I need to sit down and make a list, I was just wondering what kind of foods would be ideal to stock up on when moving to a new place, whether its a house or apartment.

I will be moving into a house I just recently started to rent earlier this week and I have no clue on what foods I need to start buying. It's going to be quite a grocery list to figure out what to buy and to stock up as needed, and no it will not be any processed foods as I prefer making homemade meals that is filling and lasts longer throughout the week. Eventually soon I will get a small chest freezer for long term frozen goods (as well as making new ice cream).

So what kinds of foods have you stocked up on when moving to a new home?

I always started with paper products and moved onto canned goods, I'm not sure if you consider that processed though. The last things were always the perishables.

? You take whatever you have right now and bring it to the new place. I don't understand the question. You buy what you have been buying as needed. It's your housing that's changing, not the food you eat.

For me, its sometimes tough on occasion to figure out as far as what is needed. So usually if I don't make a list then most times I go to the store I will end up wandering around for the most part, ha.
