Yes! Oh my god! I know exactly what you mean! I was recently in Mexico for vacation and I did taste the difference. The American Coke feels like sticky and syrupy, and give you a lot of phlegm, sometimes it can be pretty unappetizing. The Mexican coke is amazing though. You don't any of that feeling. It's a little bit less sweet but goes down much easier, it's like drinking water. Don't know if it's healthier, but it just does taste better. Even the Diet Coke is better in Mexico, although they call it Coke Light for some reason. Lol

Ah, Dr. Pepper. You must be from Texas! Hard to find anywhere else.

Really, I'd prefer a glass of wine, but Coke over Pepsi if those were the only choices.

For Soda, here's my list in order:
Root Beer (Barqs if I want caffeine, Mugs/A&W if not)
Dr. Pepper
Coke
nothing else

Pepsi.

Coke is too sweet and syrupy.

Both would be improved if they restored a lot of the effervescence (fizz).

No, both would be improved if they ditched the corn syrup

Can't stand either swill. No politics (Coke is an evil corp if you didn't know) or health concerns or disgust with Coke & Pepsi advertisements, I just cannot stand how high fructose syruped and acidified swill tastes. I don't know who are those "average Americans" who drinks 52 galons of soft drinks per year. You couldn't pay me to drink that (on taste alone).

I miss the old days, when a bottle of Coca-Cola in hand meant you were about to get high.

Otherwise, it's Cherry Coke for me, though I'll drink Cherry Pepsi if it's cheaper at the grocery store that week.
