I notice most people dont leave tips at restaurants?
after several restaurant meals, Ive been observing other diners to see if they tips after a meal and I was surprised almost none of them left a tip!
but from what I read on forums most people say they always leave a nice tip
looks like alot of people arent being honest on forums and wont admit they are too cheap to leave tips.
Ive been observing at buffets, hole in the walls, taquerias, etc and most people didnt leave a tip

Most people pay by credit card and add the tip to the total, few actually leave cash on the table. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there.

Agree. Cash can walk. The server gets the credit card tip.

but most places I go to are CASH ONLY, except for some of the chain restaurants like Golden Corral

Could it be that they left a tip on the credit card slip instead of cash? Are you going around to tables and checking the CC slips or just if the person left cash?

One time, my friends and I didn't leave a tip at Fridays. The waiter came outside looking for us lol
