I tried a salsa in Mexico that is made with bugs. I didn't like it because it had a strong iron taste. They also sell bug tacos. I would probably try them if I had the chance.

In Kenya when it would rain we had flying ants (they were really termites that were large and juicy) that we would catch, pull their wings off and fry in butter with salt.
Like most posters I have eaten bugs but not by choice. Outside as a kid running laughing with your mouth wide open and bam. There it is a bug hits the back of your throat. When I was younger a guy that I went to school with brought some chocholate covered ants to school. He said that they were good and that his uncle bought them for him in a foreign country or somewhere.
Roasted bumblebees taste like pineapple. Seriously
Really? Hmmm, I might try that. Ok no I won't.

That has happened to me a million times as a kid.
How about when your walking down the street and there are a million of those tiny bugs swarming in the air, I highly suggest pausing a conversation when aproaching them. But to answer the question, the closest I've come to eating bugs were gummy worms.

I have had this to happen as well. Those bugs act as if they are waiting on someone to come by so that they can attack!!! lol They go for the eyes, mouth anything!!
