Best and worst...

Wendy's I avoid as twice in the past ten years I got burgers with issues..one time with a cockroach part cooked into the meat patty..NO LIE.. , and one time with long hairs in the burger. I don't trust their cleanliness.
McDonalds is good for once every six months. Their special sauce tastes disturbingly like bile evolving into vomit... but hey..we all need a fix with the salty fries once in awhile.
DairyQueen..Please...have you seen what you get with $3.84 for a Blizzard? I was so pissed off when I bought my first one at a DairyQueen here after succumbing to the commercials constantly on my TV that I wrote the company headquarters and told them what robbery that was. They sent me $4 in coupons to use to make up for it. I haven't used them. I won't go back. It's VASTLY overpriced for nothing.
KFC.. THE WORST!!! Do they dump the salt in by the bucket? It's the nastiest, greasiest, most revolting crap I've ever eaten. I NEVER eat at KFC.
I like Taco Bell and Burger King usually, but my favorite fast food is Carl's Jr. They have the best hamburgers and big huge milkshakes and I love the onion ring in the burger.
I like fast food, but eating it in moderation is key. I'm 6' at 165, have normal on the lower end blood pressure, low cholesterol, heart is in perfect condition, and I'm 43. Those who eschew any fast food and critique me for eating it...tough totems. Let's schedule mutual autopsies for the future and see who the coroner found to be in better health!

Go read fast food nation and calm down. Stress and getting so worked up is probably worse for your health than fast food.
PS-I also think it is crap and rarely eat it.

I like Wendys the best and sometimes crave taco bell. I don't like In-N-Out much at all or Del Taco. I usually prefer a nice sandwich or chinese take out.

So very simple to answer. THE CASTLE IS THE PLACE, White Castle that is. It is more than just fast food culinary at its finest. Just go to any castle after 11 p.m. and it is a study of humanity. You could do your thesis about it. "6 White Castles with cheese, large fries, small onion rings and a vanilla shake" yes with pickles and ketchup. Now thats some fine dining! Yuk--yuk.

White Castle??? I'm assuming your from the NY/NJ area too? White Castles are by far the best...tasting...afterward my stomach doesn't agree too much, but that's with any fast food place.
I second the White Castle nomination for best.

Born and Raised! Actually was in a White Castle eating contest in the summer of 1970. The rules were you had to save your receipts from purchases and you had to have another member of the contest witness you eating them. I forget what number actually won (burgers or cheeseburgers only) but I think I ate aprox. 500 between memorial day and labor day and that was not even close to the winner! The prize, well we were going to get a trophy made and run the contest every summer and the trophy would be passed on year to year but we spent the money on beer. Ahhhhh, beer and burgers. A little trivia, White Castle restaurant #1 opened in Wichita Kansas in 1921, frozen White Castles don't have pickles!

We rarely eat fast food. I prefer take out Chinese. However, the worst places have to be on/off the interstates like I-95 (McDonald's rest stops..those sort of places). Bleh.
I love White Castle but have it no more than once a year (if that) because it's not near me.
Do you guys remember Hardees? I think that was the name, and they might still be going. They had this sort of replusive 'roastbeef' sandwich my brother liked.

I remember Hardee's. There was also a place on Route 46 in Totowa, NJ called Wuv's when I was little. Great place, but it was basically what Wendy's is like now (in fact, I think there's a Wendy's there). I'm not a big fast food person, but I do have it once in awhile. My choices would be White Castle (or as lovingly nicknamed around here...rat-burgers), secondly Arby's chicken sandwich and lastly McD's fries (actually their fries are best). Other than that, we do Chinese too or pizza but mostly I get the pleasure of slaving over the hot stove every night (yay me!)....ugh.

When I lived in Greenville NC, we used to go to a restaurant that was owned by the original Hardee's daughter. Her old man started the place in Greenville, but sold out before it was a national chain.
BTW - You want to see a study in humanity, just go to a Waffle House after midnight. Yikes.
