We ate at a restaurant yesterday and a mix up where another table paid for our check was discovered. It was almost the same amount so the waitress wasn't upset. But I was just wondering if anybody had stories where they got handed a bill that was lower or higher and somebody got off at a discount. Or maybe you skipped out on a check( shame) and didn't pay. I've never done that but was witness to two guys who did and saw the waitress and manager's reactions.
And I have been given the wrong order at a fast food drive thru and got home to find out I was either shorted( usually) or given more than what I paid for( rarely).

You got the (usually) (Rarely) right. I've gotten home so many times to find i was shorted. It's never worth going back. So ... on the rare occasion they screw up in my favor ....too bad!

I thought that's what was supposed to happen. It's usually like fast food roulette. Actually, several of the fast food places around here, including McD's, have places you can pull up to after you receive your order, so you can check and make sure you got what you ordered, and not the guy behind you. They have a speaker where you can buzz them and let them know they messed up your order.

No, I've never skipped out on a check, and while I've gotten others checks it's always been corrected before anyone paid the incorrect bill.

I'm the A hole that never pulls forward to wait for their food and I always check to make sure everything is in the bag before I leave.

Quit honking unless you can back it up, because I'm not moving until I get my order hot, fresh and correct.

Have never done a dine and dash but have seen quite a few. One guy even ran into me as I was walking in the door because he was looking back to see if anyone was chasing him. Very comical because he bounced off me and onto the ground. The manager was right behind him and I helped hold him for the police. Got a free meal for me and my family that night.

I pull out of the line and check the bag.. if it's wrong I'll walk in. That doesn't happen very often.

As far as the dine and dasher, that's irony.. you got the free meal he was trying to get!
