Default Any King Arthur Flour fans?

I noticed some people on my mail route got King Arthur Flour catalogs and wondered what kind of big deal it must be. After all, it's just flour, right? So I went to my local Kroger and picked up a bag and I have to say that it does make a tasty loaf of bread! Not sure if there is really a big difference, but it tastes great. Now I am getting back on my bread machine kick it seems!

Yeah, what makes it the best? Why should I buy King Arthur off the internet at an outrageous prices versus the plain $1.50 unbleached flour at the grocery store?

They usually have the whole selection at Kroger stores and I am guessing at all stores under the Kroger umbrella.

According to their website, their flour has more protein and they use a special type of wheat. All I know is I am a believer now. Well worth the cost at the supermarket.

I don't live in the midwest so no Kroger's for me.

Any visual/feel differences?

Wheat, huh? What color is the flour?

The bread seemed to have a better texture compared to the store brand flour I am used to. Seemed to have a bit better flavor, but that may be in my head...lol
