fish sticks, frozen meatballs ( if they aren't homemade by me or my mother I won't eat them),currants, canned spinach (tastes like tin can),A1 steak sauce.
Many people who hate sauerkraut enjoy it in a good Reuben sandwich like I made for Christmas, as long as it's not large amounts. It's a different taste somehow.
The secret to Spam is that it has to be fried to taste good - it's nasty eaten cold. It tastes somewhat like those DAK hams. For whatever reason, it's quite prominent in Hawaiian cooking, even in a few upscale restaurants.
Woof- I don't think I'd eat Spam for a thousand bucks! lol.. Interesting info though!
I forgot-- salad dressings! Vinegar too!! The smell knocks me over....
I almost felt compelled to start a thread about this one: Pecorino Romano cheese. I've used it several times, mostly in a Five-Cheese Pasta dish I make. I want to like it, but I just can't. Every time I use it, it just smells like a wet dog (or should that be "wet sheep," since it's made from sheep's milk, I think).
Anyway, now I just substitute parmesan.
I can't like goat cheese for this reason. Tastes like a wet dog smells.
In general, I don't like any pre-prepared foods, like cake from cake mix, or frozen meaballs, or fishsticks or chicken nuggets. I just assume that if something is coated in breading from a factory then they are hiding the least desireable parts of the fish or the chicken.
Any kind of seafood, ESPECIALLY shellfish (crabs, lobster, oysters, clams)
Olives
Mushrooms
Liver, or any organ meat
I like mayonnaise but hate Miracle Whip

Summer squash and the various winter squashes are two different critters, Tickyul. A winter squash can go in casseroles or be baked alone, split in half with some butter and a sprinkling of brown sugar at the end. Or it can be stuffed French style with bread crumbs, herbs, cream, cheese etc.
The way I like summer squash best is to slice it 1/4" thick and saute it either in olive oil or preferably butter. Then salt. Don't overcook it, it shouldn't be totally limp when you're done. I've been eating a lot of that lately, can't seem to get enough.
Sea urchin, salty and slimy. Gross. Jello, sweet, fake, and slimy.
What ever weird thing I tasted at Costco the other day, some sort of strange veggie burger. Man, that was nasty. Just skip burgers, if you don't eat meat. That thing was the grossest thing I ever had. Not even ketchup made it palatable. And, if ketchup can't fix it, forget it.
