We bought a yellow-meat watermelon at a roadside farm stand this past weekend, in an area of the state that is known for its watermelons. It had black seeds. I'm sure the family we bought it from could have told us, if we'd asked or cared.
I would like to eat cold watermelon, without seeds preferred but either will do, until I cannot move and am moaning on the couch ready to bust open. It is one of the very best things in life.

Completely agree! Even better if the weather is hot and sunny outside. Although I did this in front of my computer on Saturday... with an ENTIRE HUGE watermelon. I cut off the top, had a movie marathon and armed myself with a spoon!
in my experience the seeded varieties are getting hard to find, and you have to actually pay more for them than the seedless. very odd.
