I am not a big breakfast eater by nature, but for heath reasons, I do at least make it a priority to have something light early in the day (not right when I wake up, though, typically). Lately, due to the heat, it's been smoothies made of fresh fruit and plain yogurt. Other times of year, it will be a small serving of oatmeal, a handful of almonds, a hard boiled egg, something along those lines. But I'm not a "big breakfast" girl, unless I'm having a late brunch.

yum, yum smoothies: I just rarely think to do this. We love them in the summer.

I have read somewhere that for optimum health we should eat three and seven hours after rising.

Since I tend to do well on the Paleo diet. I often do not eat until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Eating tends to bog me down physically and mentally. YMMV My husband, on the other hand *must* have his breakfast or he is incapable of doing anything (except complain about it). LOL

different strokes.
