I'm not really sure, but it would probably the either Inn of the Anasazi or Geronimo's in Santa Fe, NM which ran about $100 each, without alcohol. Or maybe at a steakhouse here in OKC called Red Prime. I think we spent about $100 each, including 1 drink each. Last year in San Francisco we actually at a great restaurant with another couple and the bill was about $600, include alcohol, but I have no idea what the name of it was.

The most expensive restaurant I've ever gone to was just like the cheapest, only it was a lot more pretentious and served smaller portions.

Probably Napa Rose at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. We've been there a couple of times for special occasions. We like to do the chef's table with the tasting menu and wine pairings which usually works out to around $400 with tip for 2 people. It is very rare but wonderful.

Also, I've eaten at Mesa Grill in Las Vegas a few times and it was usually around $100/head.

It was the Ritz Carlton in Monarch Beach, California for my brother-in-law's bachelor party. I remembered having a prime rib that cost $30 (soup or salad was extra). It was so big I even had some left over. Keep in mind this was back in 1994 so I'm sure the prices have gone up since then.

Wow. My mouth sure dropped at the first one I read. I thought 19.95 for lunch was expensive! It was at a Japanese Restaurant too. I can tell you my cheapest, it was a dollar-full meal.

That I paid for?

The Hobbit in Orange Ca. 7 course meal, 3.5 hours long. $250.00 for two people. (Including a bottle of wine with dinner and a split of Eiswine for dessert). This was a while ago. Probably $50 to $100 more now.

I cannot remember what all we had, although I did not want the main course and opted for some sort of Venison instead. I think that the main course was lobster. This is a special dinner that you have to book months ahead of time. You only get one option, the specified main course or the alternate (which costs more). You start in the wine cellar where the have champagne available and wine stewards help you choose your wine, if you want wine. They call you by name and escort each party up to their table one at a time. There is an intermission after the first three courses and you can hang out in a lounge, go outside, or go in the kitchen and watch them prepare your food. There are so many waiters/waitresses that you never have any empty plate or glass in front of your for more than a second or two. It is about as fancy as you can get and the food is excellent. I thought that a 3 hour meal would bore me to tears, but it was actually a really neat and memorable evening.

We went there again later with another couple, but I do not remember that as well. We probably had more wine, thus less memory.

However I suspect that Mortons in L.A. possibly Ruth Kriss, Ritz Carleton In Beaver Creek Colorado (as well as several other places in Vail and Beaver Creek) were all about the same or more expensive. However I have never had to pay when eating there, so I do not really know. the onte time that I even saw the bill, I think that the Ritz was around $1,800 for 11 people, but we had a lot of drinks.

Mmmmm...I have been to many restaurants where it cost us several hundred dollars by the end of it...

Usually with my wife or with family.

Most of the time, the food really is a lot better. But there have been a couple of real losers. Usually in NYC. Here, you usually get what you pay for.

Looked at the Hobbit Website. They charge a base $74 which seems cheap. However their cheapest Eiswein split is $180.00, so we would be around $500 at today's prices.

About $125 per person is the most I've paid. I got to sleep with her afterwards so it was worth it.

The most I've paid for an entire table was around $500 but that was for several people
