Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of starting a concession trailer business/coffee kiosk and need some advice purchasing a commercial espresso machine. I am aware that the cost of a good machine is a couple thousand dollars or more, but because of my tight budget I'm looking for a machine that does make great coffee, and can be used as a commercial machine in my kiosk for under 1k, way under 1k if possible. I have tried searching on amazon for commercial espresso machine and have found plenty in my price range, and with great reviews, I'm just not sure if these machines are truly for "commercial" use. I will appreciate if someone can help me out by telling me what type of features define a commercial machine and generally which brands/models are considered the best for the money. I do plan to upgrade my equipment once I get my business rolling, but I do need a good machine that will do the job starting out.

I don't have a brand recommendation but you may look in your area for a restaurant re-sale store. There is such a high mortality rate in the food business that restaurant supply stores pick up equipment and sell it very inexpensively. Best of luck in your new venture!

Thank you for the reply Dogmama, I have already tried looking at restaurant supply stores for something used and they are still a little pricey, plus the units i've come across are way too big for my kiosk. I'm looking for something compact yet powerful to use for my business. I will keep looking though
