Yes, sometimes I grab a couple of Hungry Man's. I make my own extra instant potatoes on the side cause I need more than that little square they give you.
It's about filling a hungry stomach with something that is hot verses making a bologna sandwich with chips.

I remember TV dinners from the Sixties. They a\were not any good then and they are no better today.

Of course, we got the cheaper ones, not the fancy Swanson ones with the desserts.

Honestly, I would rather fast.

I like Stouffer's mac & cheese but only if cooked in the oven. If I don't want to cook I will buy an Atkin's frozen dinner. It's the only one I have found with high protein, low carb and sugar and doesn't taste like crap. Marie Callendar's chicken pot pie is tasty but not worth the calories and sodium in my opinion.

No, because none of it qualifies as food, in my book

The closest I've ever come to buying a TV dinner was a frozen burrito, and it wasn't particularly good.

I do bring in Lean Cuisines, WW Smart Ones and Banquet frozen entrees to work because my work cafeteria is too expensive. Plus, by eating one of those, plus a small bowl of fruit, I know my lunch is being limited to 300-400 calories, which is a healthy number. When I ate from the cafeteria, I'm convinced I was eating 800-900 calories for lunch, which is crazy.

No. Swansons and Hungrey Man were an occasional treat as 70s kids because we were impressionable to tv advertising and did not realize the freshly cooked meals M&P made were more nutritious. Never did like most of the cobbler type desserts. M&P did not make Salisbury Steak so it was a manner to eat American.

Good thing Mom tended to ignore us when we went shopping and wanted this and that. Well ignore is not correct. More like a bark and lash to stop us from asking.

As for today's versions as mentioned in previous posts. UGH. Marie Callender would get a pass. The remainder no. I do not even own a microwave.

I could eat them when I was younger, just like I could eat Homel Chili in a can and think it was good.

I cook a lot more these days, and I think that has turned me off to the taste of heavily processed foods.

These days, other than frozen pizza, I cannot stomach any of the frozen meals. The meats are so over processed, and the sides are just the poorest of ingredients. You have to wonder if anyone actually TASTES these things before they send them out to market. Often, there is this overwhelming garlic flavor so strong it about knocks you out. Not to mention, they aren't that cheap anymore, either. I'd rather have a peanut butter or grilled cheese sandwich.
