DD has decided she can no longer eat anything mammalian and came home with $300 worth of vegetarian groceries after she got done working at..........

a restaurant where she is a pastry chef.
On the bright side, I did learn how to make some awesome black bean burgers tonight, she was gracious enough to give me the recipe before she wheedled me into cooking another meal.

I just started dinner at 10am. I'm making homemade chicken soup with German spaetzle noodles. The broth will take six hours so I'm already anticipating the all-day aroma! The chicken just went into the pot to boil for 45 minutes.

Dontcha just love slow food?
