In addition to stew meat shook in seasoned flour, I threw in garlic, onion, celery, potatoes, carrots, turnips, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, a seasoning blend, and a bay leaf. Smells great, we'll see how it turns out.
Yesterday we went across the street to a neighbor's house for their granddaughter's first birthday. The mother made the best cupcakes and a bumblebee cake. They looked professional, and were delicious. THEN we went across the street to another neighbor's house and watched the AL game and grilled chicken breasts, chicken wings, porkchops, steak and shrimp. There were a couple of veggie casseroles, some potatoes and some cakes and pies, etc. They always grill BIG when they grill! LOL I love to be invited! (I LOVE MY NEIGHBORS!)
Tonight I am baking a turkey and dressing, crowder peas, green beans, giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. Oh and dinner rolls. Turkey is starting to smell good through the house! I love to cook a turkey and then have all the possibilities for leftovers! I know a chicken (turkey) pot pie is in the works for next week, along with chicken cheese spaghetti.
Pork loin; roasted white and sweet pototoes with mushrooms, onions, red peppers, and tomatoes; Asparagus and DD made her famous mac and cheese (even though we had plenty of starch).
I was making up for not cooking last week! Oh yeah, apple pie for dessert
Tonight for dinner will be Beef Bungundy served over egg noodles, honey glazed carrots, green beans with bacon, and yeast rolls. Sweet iced tea to drink. (I'm making up for the night I ate a peanut butter sandwich for dinner )
Quick & easy...shrimp scampi, & steamed broccoli (which I'll dip in the scampi sauce)
